The girl in the cave

THE GIRL IN THE CAVE is a gripping story about coming of age, friendship, and betrayal, all of which starts with the significant date 2010-09-10. Greta Boström has spent a lot of time in stables and with horses, and with the riding camp setting the scene and home for the main character Alma. Greta evolves the typical horses literature into a terrifying mystery story where the love of horses is highly involved.

“Adriana pointed to the numbers: 2010-09-10. `That's the day Alma was born. Weird, right?´ Lexi examined the date thoughtfully and then looked at us critically, as if to figure out whether we were trustworthy. Something hardened in her gaze. `Have you heard the story of the girl in the cave?´”

Alma is at riding camp with her best friend Adriana when she first hears the ghost story. The one about the girl found dead on same the day Alma was born. It's Lexi who tells the story. Lexi who lives on the farm, has two ponies, a perfect velvety skin and seems to do anything to take Adriana away from Alma. How can someone who has it all be so mean?
